Icebox4 Salon presents “Muster Point Show “, curated by Denise Corley. 

 As the name suggests: a gathering point, a meeting place, in this case not necessarily an emergency...but maybe.

The show features paintings, sculptures, works on paper and photographs.

The 18 artists, while divergent in styles, processes and techniques, have a commonality in the pursuit of organic forms— perhaps inspired by nature, perhaps rooted in what we call abstraction.

The works speak to creative processes divined in the studio to articulate intricate elements that create a whole. The compounding of structure on structure following an intuitive path in much of the work gives a sense of potency, as in organic systems, whether biological, chemical or mathematical.
 

Some of the works allude to landscapes, others to architecture or microscopic structures; some have spiritual cosmic awareness. 

All take us to some form of gathering— creatively, energetically, geographically, psychically.
